Mohammad Shahjahan began his career at Grameen Bank in 1984. He served as Acting Managing Director and Head of the Accounting, Finance, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division of Grameen Bank. He has also served on the Board of Directors of several Grameen family companies. These companies operate in the agriculture, social welfare, renewable energy, telecommunications, venture capital, and investment banking sectors.
Mohammad Shahjahan graduated with a B.Com degree in Accounting (Hons) from the University of Dhaka in 1976 and a Master of Accounting and a Master of Finance degree from the same University in 1977 and 1981 respectively.
