Salym – Social and environmental performance

Objective:

Salym Finance is a microfinance institution that provides affordable loans and deposits to support income-generating activities and improve the living standards of low-income populations. The organization has 23 branches across Kyrgyzstan and approximately 180 employees. It manages a portfolio of €24 million and serves over 18,000 clients, including 521 women and 701 rural clients.

As part of the Banquiers Solidaires by CA program, FGCA will provide additional support to Salym Finance through a technical assistance mission led by a Crédit Agricole expert.

Solidarity banker:

The Solidarity Banker is a Crédit Agricole staff member, willing to engage in the Solidarity Bankers program, with the following expertise/experience:

• Expertise in social and environmental performance management
• A good command of English is required. Fluency in Russian would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Central Asia is an asset
• Previous experience in the microfinance sector would be appreciated
• Previous experience in technical assistance or advisory work in a developing country would be helpful.
