At the end of 2020, the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation was selected as one of the impact investors responsible for setting up the Smallholder Safety Net Upscaling Programme (SSNUP).

The Foundation has been allocated funds to launch technical assistance missions for microfinance institutions and businesses that support small farmers.

SSNUP finances a first agricultural project in Senegal

Founded in 2013, SFA produces white rice from paddy grown by small producers in the Senegal River Valley. SSNUP strengthens technical support for producers through a technical assistance mission with a budget of €11,000.

SSNUP supports cocoa cooperatives in Ivory Coast

Founded in 2012, Advans CI is the first financial institution to provide access to input credit to cocoa cooperatives in Côte d'Ivoire. It received a grant from the SSNUP to support cocoa cooperatives in improving the repayment levels of member producers.

SSNUP supports Agronomika in the Philippines

Established in 2016, AFC is a small financial institution with ambitious ambitions to develop additional financial services for clients at the bottom of the pyramid, with a particular focus on smallholder farmers.
SSNUP is strengthening its support through a technical assistant mission with a budget of €150,014.

SSNUP supports MLF Malawi in the development of agricultural financial services.

MLF Malawi is a microfinance institution established in 2002 by MLF UK, a charity dedicated to microfinance activities in sub-Saharan Africa.
SSNUP is strengthening its support through a technical assistant mission with a budget of €257,726.

SSNUP program supports VisionFund for small farmers in Senegal

VisionFund Senegal is a microfinance institution established by World Vision International whose mission is to facilitate access to a conventional financial system for rural and vulnerable populations, access to local financial services, and the opportunity to launch or develop income-generating activities.
SSNUP is strengthening its support through a technical assistant mission with a budget of €36,000.
